Patriot's above services are performed in accordance with EPA/NIOSH guidelines for the recognition, evaluation, and control of indoor air pollutants. 

Every individual’s health and well-being is greatly affected by the quality of air that one breathes.  It is a known fact that indoor air may be more harmful to occupants than the air outside of buildings, when toxins and gases are not adequately vented due to poor HVAC systems or when mold growth is not controlled due to temperature and humidity factors.  Extensive and regular use of chemicals in manufacturing, production, testing and cleaning contributes to the release and accumulation of hazardous gases in the air. Every commercial, industrial, government, school or residential building is at risk of exposing individuals to toxic substances that may cause severe allergic reactions and other illnesses that could be fatal.

Our consultants and technicians conduct thorough and systematic investigations to determine building air pollutants, contaminants, and their sources. All projects are under the supervision of a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). Our approach is client-interactive in order to establish a level of confidence with our clients and our recommendations include a well-planned strategy to meet our clients’ need to restore a healthy environment to eliminate or limit potential sources of pollutants through regular checks to monitor the integrity of the ventilation and exhaust systems.

Phase I Site Assessments

Phase I ESAs address and scrutinize underlying or persistent environmental problems that can be present in suspected real estate. A complete assessment can include an overall image of present land conditions and historical information regarding the active or previous use of hazardous materials on the subject property.  A Phase I site assessment should provide property owners and future end-users impact knowledge about a site that outlines the probability of water, soil, and flora/biological contamination that can lead to liability and damages in the future for occupants and neighbors to the site. 

Phase II Site Assessments 

Phase II ESAs supplant Phase I and may follow suit to determine the actual concentration of environmental contaminants such as petroleum hydrocarbons, pesticides, and other toxic metals present at the site.
