SOOT / CHAR / ASH INVESTIGATIONS

Patriot provides Black Carbon (soot) investigation services to analytically demonstrate whether or not smoke or soot (black carbon, carbonized material) is present within structures.  Representative surfaces are sampled from the surveyed areas and submitted to a qualified materials science laboratory for analysis by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray Analysis (EDX). Findings from these investigations conclude whether or not structure surfaces have been impacted by Black Carbon (Soot), Carbonized Material or many other combustion by-products from fire occurrences (i.e. wildfires, structure fires, etc.).
